Giambattista Valli couture ss14

This collection, have you seen it yet? Well, then do. All the colours, flowers, diamonds, shapes and prints made me fall in love instantly. I started looking back at other couture collections by Valli and I am just stunned. There is something with couture that really fills me up with love and inspiration, it has so many beautiful things in just one place and it’s so big and strong and “too much” at the same time, which isn’t too much for me. It should always be too much! Too much prints, too much diamonds and too much of everything.

Giovanna Battaglia

Giovanna. She is my biggest source of inspiration right now. She is the queen of fashion, always so unique, innovative and does her own thing. She is everything I love with fashion and women; brave, elegant, stylish, too much, crazy and simple and as that wasn’t enough she may also be one of the most beautiful women I know. She has that uniqueness and represents strength in a way that really strikes me….

Did I say I adore her?

Dressed up in Armani

Cate Blanchett and Armani, could it get any better? I doubt it. If you saw her on the red carpet you know what I’m talking about, she looked absolutely gorgeous in her beige Armani Privé gown. One of the reasons why I fell in love with this look is because of how beautifully the dress is decorated, it makes you want to look closer and when you do it’s even more stunningly beautiful. I guess it’s no surprise by now that everything that has to do with sparkle turns me on?…

I also adore the subtle colour on her together with her blonde hair and pale skin. Cate Blanchett really is one of my favourite people to draw because of her unique look. That’s always what attracts me the most when picking or coming up with something to draw, it’s not the regular things that are the most beautiful, it’s really the unique things that creates that little extraordinary. Just look at her

Julie Delpy Oscar 2014

When I saw this amazing sparkly gown signed by Jenny Packham on the red carpet at Oscars 2014 I just knew I had to paint it, and her of course, the lovely Julie Delpy in it. She was so incredibly beautiful in her golden hair and orangy/red lipstick combined with all that silver and glitter, so stylish and classic, I just couldn’t resist. Although I have to say.. I did expect more from the red carpet this year. Usually I’m literally sitting and drooling over these spectacular gowns while browsing on the computer but this year there wasn’t that much drooling at all. A few people looked quite amazing though, including Julie in her Packham dress as well as Cate Blanchett in her dreamy Armani Privé gown. And well.. let’s not forget about the hovering blue dream on Lupita Nyong’o, that was quite a sight.
